Super sleek and sexy, but fabulously comfortable, Mahatma House Bali would not be out of place in one of the world’s fashion capitals, yet this impressive five‐bedroom villa is located in the beautiful and very traditional Balinese village of Seseh, just a stone’s throw from the beach. Mahatma House is owned by two Spanish models and fashion designers and their sense of style and sophistication shines throughout the villa, from the fabulous black interiors to the incredible array of Asian antiquities. There are seemingly endless opportunities for relaxation at Mahatma House: recline under a parasol on a daybed fit for royalty; sip sunset cocktails on the party‐size sofas by the pool; chill out in the comfortable garden balé with friends, or simply take a moment to rest and rejuvenate in peace on your private bedroom balcony. With its enormous kitchen and dining space and its open‐sided living areas looking out across the magnificent tropical gardens and swimming pool, Mahatma House is an ideal venue for social events, whether it be a wedding, milestone celebration or informal and relaxed get‐together with friends or family. And the impeccably trained staff, including an experienced villa manager and restaurant‐trained private chef, will ensure that every moment of your stay is absolutely faultless. The two master bedrooms boast spectacular views over the ocean as it stretches endlessly towards the horizon, whilst the suites and corner room are surrounded by the verdant garden, fragrant with frangipani. All five bedrooms at Mahatma House feature the villa’s signature sleek black décor, are furnished with king‐size beds, and equipped with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and ceiling fans. The kitchen, finished in super‐stylish black terrazzo and equipped with fabulous matt black crockery, features Chinese cabinets and a wall display of traditional Javanese metal cracker jars. Adjacent to the kitchen, the open‐sided dining room seats ten and overlooks the garden, pool and balé. The entertainment area is located to the other side of the living pavilion and is furnished with comfortable sofas on which to lay back and watch the 42‐inch flat‐screen television, discreetly housed within a chic black oriental‐style cabinet. Behind the entertainment area, and looking out towards the garden, pool and pavilions, is a low Japanese‐style table with seating for six. Mahatma House has a wonderful selection of private outdoor living areas as well as plentiful spaces for groups to gather and socialise. Laze under a parasol on one of the four oversized daybeds surrounding the pool; escape from the midday heat in the comfortable balé, wrapped in the garden’s lush greenery and shaded by trees; enjoy a cocktail or two at the villa’s piece de resistance, the poolside lounge. This fabulous area, which comfortably seats 12, has a unique circular wooden lantern that illuminates the garden spectacularly at night. The team of friendly staff at Mahatma House will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full‐time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus – and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.
